Born to an Armenian-Lebanese Family, I received my Bachelor of Science in Landscape Design and Ecosystem Management in 2005 from the American University of Beirut (AUB) Lebanon, where I also pursued an MS in Urban Design in 2011. I earned an MsC in Design and Urban Ecologies (2016) from Parsons/The New School and in 2018 I received a graduate certification in Documentary Media Studies from the School of Public Engagement/The New School.

In 2008, I co-founded Atelier Hamra; a landscape architecture studio in Beirut, Lebanon. I have also taught and worked at AUB, EARTH University, Costa Rica and Parsons The New School for Design for over 17 years. I have worked as a research associate at the Healthy Materials Lab at Parsons, New York from 2015 to 2018, an independent consultant collaborating with Philadelphia Murals ArtsEnvironmental Justice Department since 2016, and I am currently a senior design strategist at Indigo Slate working on project across different industries, and a part time faculty teaching design thinking at Parsons School of Design, The New School.

I am very passionate about singing, cooking, and nature appreciation.

I hope you enjoy my illustrated journey below that is brought to life by the brilliant and talented Loisse Ledres.
